The entrance hall leads to the bedrooms, which are on the ground floor to be cool in summer and warm in winter, and both are fully-furnished. The style is deliberately rustic and traditional
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with WC, bath, shower, hand-basin set into a vanity unit, razor point, mirror and heated towel rail. The floor is white marble.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed. Its en-suite is a walk-in shower room with WC, shower, hand-basin, mirror and bathroom cabinet; the floor tiles are non-slip.
The stone staircase with its wrought-iron railing leads from the ground floor to the first-floor open-plan living-room, dining area and kitchen. The fitted kitchen in traditional solid wood hides many of its modern appliances. The wall tapestries and log-burner complete the deliberately old-fashioned feel.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with a full range of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment, as well as all you need in the way of china, glasses, cutlery and tableware. We also provide cleaning agents, tea-towels, dish-washer tabs and kitchen-paper to get you started, along with a welcome pack ensuring you have a hot drink or cold glass of wine even before you do your shopping.
A full range of tableware ensures elegant dinner settings. Baby items such as high-chair, cot, stair gate etc are available on demand.
In the lounge is a log-burner to keep you warm in winter and we supply logs free of charge. The flat screen TV receives Freeview satellite English programmes as well as French terrestrial programmes and there is a DVD player. Board games are provided, along with tourist literature to help you make the most of local attractions.
Doors from the kitchen lead out onto the balcony where you will find a range of outdoor furniture, enabling you to have meals or just relax.
A communicating door, normally locked, leads to the cottage next door so it is possible to rent both cottages and make one big house which can accommodate 10 people. Perfect for family groups, friends or wedding.
